Implementation of SMEV.Lab based on N.Progression MDM in MIG Laboratory Diagnostics - the Project of the Year according to GlobalCIO

The implementation of the SMEV.Lab inter-agency, electronic interaction service, performed by N.Progression in MIG Laboratory Diagnostics, commissioned by MedInvestGroup, won the Project of the Year award in the Best Industry Solution: Medicine and Pharmaceuticals nomination. Receiving the GlobalCIO award confirmed the leadership position of the system integrator in automating companies’ business processes in this sector.

MIG Laboratory Diagnostics, like most laboratories, works with several IT systems at once. Therefore, they needed to be integrated with the information systems of partner clinics and clients. High-quality and reliable integration ensures fast delivery of research results and enhances the company's competitiveness.

To speed up the connection of new clients and partners and automate matching data related to services and price lists, the MedInvestGroup management decided to organise the exchange of data between MIG Laboratory Diagnostics and their partners and clients on a single platform. As a result, the N.Progression company implemented an integrated system for managing orders for laboratory research - SMEV.Lab. The solution is based on N.Progression MDM, a proprietary system integrator.

Thanks to a set of built-in connectors and automatic comparison of information about biomaterials, containers and services, SMEV.Lab allows you to quickly configure the integration between MIG Laboratory Diagnostics and its new client or partner. Furthermore, since each medical information system (MIS) or laboratory information system (LIS) has its own set of reference books and data processing logic, N.Progression specialists have developed a universal data format for SMEV.Lab, which would be suitable for any connected system. Also, in connection with the pandemic, they have established an automatic transfer of information about tests for coronavirus to the Unified Medical Information and Analytical System (UMIAS).

Now, using this solution, organisations can quickly exchange laboratory orders and results with MIG Laboratory Diagnostics.

The industry competition for the "Project of the Year" is held by the official community of Global CIO with the support of the Union of IT Directors (SODIT), AP KIT, Russoft and other professional associations. More than 200 projects and the CIS countries take part in it annually. In addition, companies’ project achievements are assessed through online voting by CIOs.
